'The unforeseen'

The unforeseen's
the present,
and the seen's
the world which never is:

-

the dark ascent,
the morning's hill,
the heath about
the burning bush,
the shadows' long-lit edge,

-

the hour of sky,
light in outlines,
man o'th'senses
by feel by sight,
in the lee, and in the head.

-

The unforeseen's
the present
and the seen's
the world which never is.
